Reno is a gambling town in the north of Nevada. It is a good starting jumping off point for Black Rock City and the annual Burning Man event.
During the rest of the year the main attractions are the casinos and access to outdoor activites. Be sure to visit Lake Tahoe ( South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City), its neighboring world-class ski resorts, and the new Truckee River Whitewater Park that runs through downtown.
